Sibu Friday

The flight to Sibu was only 35 minutes, so i flew from 1o.30m to 11.10am gosh, see how the 737 Boeing could transfer us from one place to another within minutes. But when i look at Sibu airport, i felt sympathy to the local. I think Tan Sri Ting Phek King’s house in Kuching is much more bigger than the Sibu airport. No lie!. To make it worse is the distance betwen the airpot and the Sibu town and the fare. Hmm. I don’t want to say anything. Let you experience it yourself.

I met Roy and his friend Sazali at Wisma Sanyan, the tallest building in Borneo, at the moment lah. It was around 11.30am so we decided to go for lunch in front if that building. I had my 1st Sibu kampua kicap but i didn’t enjoy it much because it was a halal one and the mi was sticky due to overdip in cold water too long. How i know ? Because i know lah.. ehehehe

We went to so many places after that and i managed to buy myself a green shirt for the wedding function. Besides that, we took pictures infront Sg. Rejang which is the longest river in Borneo! Finaly i checked in at the Kingwood Hotel, room 619 price RM131.oo per night. But upon looking at my room, I satisfied!

After a hot shower, not to lose any few seconds in Sibu, we went out again. We went to the old Sibu town for rojak and ice cendol special, then off to the Primier to watch movie which i’ll comment in my next post.

Since the movie started at 5.15pm and we have another 3 hours, so we decided to go to a chinese shop for another round of mi kampua. After that i smile until my lips reach the ears :). Yes, i’m satisfied.

Thank God Sibu town is not as big a Kuching City and quite similar to Miri (some people say that Sibu is similar to Ipoh City –  I agree soooooo , much!) so we walked from one end to the other. After the kampua, i took the other hour to look for the wedding prezents since i didn’t bring anything from Kuching besides myself…

The movie ended around 7.15pm yup, it was a 2 hours struggling for me. So we off again to Sanyan for shopping and dinner. At night, Sibu was full with colorful lights. The decorations were so many and colorful due to the festive season. But the traffic jam is worse compare to Kuching. Maybe they need bigger road!

So we went back to the hotel around 11pm and i took another hot shower before bed. ZZZZZZzzzzzzzzz. Good night Sibu.
