1st Family Gathering

Last night we had the Sanub’s family gathering at the Kuching Park Hotel. It was the event where i knot that i could be myself without the need to think of the table maners, free sitting, free flow of drinks and foods, free wandering around without being embarassed, didn’t care who was watching me at all because i know, in that hall, they were all my cousins and relatives. There were 8 tables booked earlier bacause the organizer, Jenef and me didn’t know whom were really really coming and how many heads would there be on that night since we know that Uncle Sehat wouldn’t be in Kuching that night and Uncle Kunji need to take care of her sick wife at home but Candy represent the whole family members which made the attendance expectations nearly reach 90%

The event started around 8.00pm where about 65% of the guests had arrived. My dad gave a short spech followed by a little word of prayer to ask the Lord to blessed the gathering and also the foods and bevereges. And makan2 started while some of my cousins sang their best number accompanied by the karaoke set. Hm, there were plenty singers back up singers that night and the dancers were vadavoom! (I was one of them lah.. ahacksss!). Oh, i saw Mr. Kuching 2007, Geroge Tawi and wife attended the dinner also and well, he’s the family mamber from my 1st cousin’s side. Talking about the foods, there were fried fish nuggets, black pepper chickens, fried chicken masak special, Soups mix with sea foods, meat rolls, nasi goreng, mi hun gorengs -cooked just like what i want, 3 types of cakes, sago drinks, vagetables salad, fresh fruits, bottels of fine wines imported from Australia, jugs of beers and also some XOs.. Later on, more VVIPs came with their sons and daughters and the house was nearly full with the Sanub’s family and finally all but Uncle Sehat was absent and uncle Kunji was represnted by Candy. I didn’t bring my canon camera this time because my sister Dolina brought 2 cameras with her but sadly, both camera were running out of batteries in the middle of the events. So all of these pictures were taken using my Nokia handphones but thought the quality was not that good at least we have somthing to see and remember and it’s the event which i couldn’t forget. 

Later we have games for the kids, the kids beauty contest where Megan was the last participants but very very reluctant at first, balloon blow, musical chair where my nephew Neville won, treasure hunt, the introductory to any of the family members who achieves something which made my brother the center of the night (1o minutes glamour only lah) due to his new soon be open clinic and later on and more jogetsssss..

So, let me conclude this, i’m proud, satisfied, happy, not drunk, thinking of some one out there, in gawai mood and last but not least is i’m looking forward towards the same event next year and the years ahead but of-course, different atmosphere…

Satalite Dish

Finally Dad got his satalite dish ready and he can see many channels such as from Indinesia, Philipine, India, China, Australia, Russia, Germany, US and so on. But dad’s most likely to watch sermons likefrom Benny Hins and more from India (miracle channels). I never knew there are Christians in India until i see they pray to Jesus. For me, i have no favourite channel yet, still prefer the old Astro.

Went to Boulevard with brother to buy more things for Gawai. Foods, drinks, perfume and so on. So many things i want o buy but no money to buy that so many things.. hehehe. So many people there and there were fashion show too.. Good effort from the top management to bring more crowds to their hypermarket.

Yesterday i read berita harian online where Datuk Johari Codemn the AF6 concert for not being patriotic due to the songs for the convocation is the England National song. Stupid him, where on earth he got his ‘Datuk-ship’? Alo datok, even my nenek yang blur from kampung pun tau how the England National anthem is and for your extra-temporary informations, lagu tu bertajuk Pomp(e) and Circumstances and it is played ususally during convocations and some other grand function.. I think your Datuk ship patut ditarik balik lah,, menuduh tanpa periksa, i think you are so envy of this AF thats why you dumb-dare to say such thing. Even 15 years ago when i was with Sarawak Symphony Orchestra, we did play this piece in some occasion. God save the Queen!!!

Tomorrow is Friday and i already plan to take half day leave. TIme for me to settle everything, include dying my hair. Buy things for Gawai celebrations and lots lots more. Maybe tomorrow i’ll find someone special to be my date for Gawai day.. ahacks… Tomorrow night our family members will unite for the 1st time with our 1st cousins and the 2nd cousins. Hmm, can wait to see the crowds, i’ll blog everything tomorrow.

 

For Men End Ass

Burrp.. Wah, I ate again ahh? I just came back from the café after having mi hun goreng and a sausages and a glass of hot soya bean. Actually I took heavy meal during lunch just now.. Oo.. I think I’m STRESS now.. When stress, I often search for food and please my full stomach.. i stop when the stomach burst.. just pending for the right timing and place for it to happen.. wahhh.. Finish my mi hun, i went to the counter and grab 2 packs of fried pisang goreng and brought it down to the office, just finish updating my FMEA. The new format got me some trouble. The programme is killing me.Not user friendly.. or is it me whom did not get enough training. I bought something for the bath room during lunch and i can’t wai to get home and install them. Well, they cost me RM650. Ahacks! Now is about time to go home, but boss wants to see me, don’t know regarding what.. hopefully not about the FMEA thing..

Gawai Countdown

Today was a rough day for my colleague and also to me indirectly since I was the 1st presentor during the morning meeting every Monday and my presentations was about the tools performances  during weekends. It was tough today due to their tools having some major issue but i need to present the numbers. Sounds not fair huh.. But i was Ok, I learnt on how to control my work and feelings. We learn to handle things in a fast yet in professional ways. We tend to dissolve issue in a short time and came out with sollutions for preventions later on. Well, i can see that the group is more mature compare to the last few years. Today is Monday and i really have no mood to work. Since the AF is over, i don’t know what to watch on TV, maybe its time to get back to the Scrabble game or go should i go out and date some girl already ?? .. hehehe.. ahacks..
This weekend is the gawai celebrations already and i don’t know whether our house is ready to receive guests or not.. I show our home to my friend Matthew in Brussles, Belgium thru tele-web-conference and he loves the house. Ah, the heck with it.. I think its time to have a grand yet meaningful Open House..
